The Neuschwanstein Castle is located at only 3 km away from the touristic town of Fussen in Bavaria.

The castle is is also very close to Munich, the capital of Bavaria.

Opening Times & Tours

You can visit Neuschwanstein castle during the following hours:
Between 19 March to 15 October: 9:00 – 18:00
Between 16 October to 18 March: 10:00 – 16:00

Getting there:

If you want to get to the Neuschwanstein Castle, your best bet would be to get to Fussen before.

BY PLANE / TRAIN: From Munich, you have a train every two hours to Fussen.
BY CAR: Or if you are by car, take the A 96 highway, and leave at Landsberg Ost and follow the B 17 road.
To get from Fussen to the Neuschwanstein Castle, take the Bus no 73 or 78.
